Frequently Asked Questions
Which PVC raw material is suitable for 2~6MM medical tubes?
Medical-grade soft PVC compound that complies with ISO 10993, free of heavy metals and toxic stabilizers. Transparent low-migration PVC pellets are recommended for infusion and catheter tubes.
Why does liquid precipitation appear on tube surfaces?
Excessive plasticizer or incompatible auxiliary agents can cause migration. Reduce plasticizer proportion, use medical non-migratory additives and optimize extrusion temperature.
Will the tube turn yellow after long-time production?
PVC decomposes under overheating. Control barrel and die temperature within 160-185 deg C, add medical heat stabilizer and avoid long idle heating.
What causes unstable melt pressure and fluctuating tube OD?
Uneven feeding, worn screw flights or unstable temperature zones. Clean the hopper, repair worn screws and calibrate each heating zone.
Can one die produce all sizes from 2mm to 6mm?
No. Each outer diameter needs a matched die mandrel and sleeve. Interchangeable die sets are supplied for fast size switching.
Does this line fit cleanroom medical production?
Yes. Material contact parts adopt 316L stainless steel and can be wiped and disinfected for medical cleanroom production.
What medical tubes can this line produce?
Infusion tubes, oxygen connecting tubes, catheter sleeves and medical drainage micro tubes in the 2~6MM range.
What is the hourly output of this medical tube line?
Typical output is around 15-35 kg/h depending on tube diameter and wall thickness.
